RCE Making Change Stick Discussion Group Back-to-Basics 2.0 SurveyYou’ve heard of Back-to-Basics, but that phrase is currently defined in a partisan way. I want to redefine that phrase to mean something that is universally beneficial in all schools. Back-to-Basics 2.0 is about the duty of care that all educators owe to school children. In recent versions of The Agentic Schools Manifesto I laid out the four core principles along with many supporting statements.I want to refine the statements that make up Back-to-Basics 2.0 by getting feedback from smart folks like you. I have created a survey for each core principle to assess how much of a consensus exists on these principles and refine them as needed. Each survey ends with a link to the next.
Back-to-Basics 2.0 Consensus Survey Thank you for your support! If you’d like to preview the statements you can check out this 4-page PDF (~10Mb): Back-to-Basics 2.0 Handout The surveys have 18, 7, 4, and 14 statements for review. Holistic Education DiscussionsIn following up after the Asia-Pacific Holistic Education Network International Conference in Kyoto, Japan, I was turned on to this discussion group. We arranged for me to be the featured guest on May 5th under the title Historical Precedents for Changing The Global System of Schooling!
